James Webster - Māori Artist

James, who resides in Aotearoa/New Zealand, proudly affiliates with Tainui, Te Arawa, and Pakeha tribes. Based in Coromandel Town, Coromandel, he is the owner and operator of Tahaa, Tā Moko Studio, and Māori Arts.

With over 20 years in the arts industry, James is a versatile freelance artist specializing in sculpture and carving (bone, stone, and wood), as well as painting and mixed-media creations. He is also a skilled Tā Moko (Māori tattoo) artist and a maker and player of Taonga Pūoro (Māori musical instruments). Additionally, James is a member of the Haumanu Collective.
